Sheila J. Trieff, LICSW

Sheila Trieff assists children and adults navigating family life transitions including separations, divorces, and deaths.  She specializes in the treatment of trauma and bereavement and has training in Critical Incident Management.  Sheila’s work with couples encourages new ways of thinking leading to improved communication and problem-solving.  She provides stress reduction and conflict resolution models that can create more personal satisfaction and success in relationships.  Sheila is a graduate of Simmons School of Social Work and has participated in post-graduate training at the Family Institute of Cambridge.  With over 30 years of clinical work, Sheila offers clients a safe, attentive therapy experience.

Ronald Trieff, LICSW, BCD

Ronald Trieff devotes most of his clinical practice to his work with couples.  He works creatively with an array of relational difficulties, utilizing his specialized training from The Family Institute of Cambridge as well as his vast clinical experience spanning more than 30 years.  He has conducted various trainings and seminars on many areas relating to the complex process of successful coupling.  After graduating from Boston University’s graduate social work program in 1975 and spending the subsequent five years in training at the Family Institute of Cambridge, he went on to direct an array of outpatient adult programs, ultimately directing Adult Services for the North Essex Mental Health Center from 1984-1987.  In addition to his clinical work with adults, Ron is certified in EMDR, an effective technique in the treatment of trauma survivors.  He has been in full-time private practice since 1987 and was one of the founders of Port Psychological Associates.
